We welcome persons of every race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, mental and physical ability, age, faith background, economic situation, and family structure.
We commit ourselves and invite others to a spiritual journey with the Still Speaking God, lived out in community both locally and globally. As we are all children of God, we welcome each individual to join in the full life and ministry of this church.

First Congregational UCC answered God’s call to work locally for social justice by covenanting with SOPHIA in 2005. SOPHIA (Stewards of Prophetic, Hopeful, Intentional Action) is a coalition of diverse faith communities in Waukesha County. SOPHIA works on issues of justice through building relationships in public and private sectors, uniting people with common values to have a powerful voice – standing together to change injustices affecting those who are marginalized. Together, we seek to make our communities places where everyone has a chance to succeed.
First Congregational UCC has a Core Team that invites and encourages all members of the church to engage in the issues addressed by SOPHIA.
